Homemade Chili
Serves 8
3 pounds Kroger ground beef
1 tablespoon Kroger olive oil
1 large onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 cup red wine
5 cans Kroger tomato sauce (15 oz.)
1 can Kroger diced tomatoes, drained
1 packet Kroger chili seasoning
Kroger sour cream (optional when serving)
Kroger shredded cheese (optional when serving)
- In a large pot, brown the beef and drain in a strainer.
- Reheat the same large pot and add the oil, onions, and green peppers. Sauté for two minutes.
- Add the wine and simmer for one minute.
- Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and chili seasoning.
- Turn heat to med-low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring often.
- Serve with a dollop of sour cream and shredded cheese (optional).
