Italian Sausage with Cheese Tortellini
In Alfredo Wine Sauce
Serves 4
4- Jennie-O hot or mild Turkey Sausage
2- Tablespoon Kerry Gold Butter, separated
3- green onions, sliced thin-white part only
1/4 cup Buckley’s Chardonnay
1- package Butoni Cheese Tortellini
1- package Butoni Alfredo Sauce
Sargento Shredded Parmesan Cheese - to taste
Sunkist Roasted Almond Accents - to taste
Heat a large skillet over med-high heat for one minute. Add one tablespoon of the butter, and swirl to coat. Add the sausage, and reduce heat to medium. Cook the sausage until center is just done, turning frequently. Remove sausage from pan and keep warm. Wipe the skillet out with a paper towel, and return to med-high heat for one minute. Add one tablespoon of the butter, and sliced onion. Sauté the onions for one minute. Add the wine and tortellini, and cover to steam for 2 minutes. Add the alfredo sauce, and simmer for 2 minutes, or until sauce is heated through. In the mean time, slice the sausage into bite size slices, and add to the pan. Garnish with the parmesan cheese, and sliced almonds. Serve immediately with a glass of Buckley’s chardonnay.
