As with any recipe, you can increase or decrease ingredients or cook time to suit your own tastes.
- Prepare Dirty Rice according to package directions. You can do this up to a day ahead and refrigerate.
- When rice is cooked, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat for 1 minute. Add garlic or pepper-flavored oil and swirl to coat. Add sausage and cook until it just starts to brown.
- Drain fat, add the wine and simmer 1 minute. Add sausage to Jambalya rice mix and add hot sauce to taste just before serving.
- Serve in bowls with Garlic Toast Points on the side: Toast slices of the Sara Lee bread, coat with butter, sprinkle with Private Selection Garlic Powder, and cut diagonally to create 4 triangles per slice.
- Accompany with a glass of the Mirassou wine you used for cooking.
